This WW2 Japanese Army "Last Ditch" Arisaka Type 99 Rifle is in fair condition and is sold "As-Is, For Parts" and would be a great restoration project.

The barrel is clearly marked and indicates production in the 27th Series (early 1945) by Tokyo Juki Kogyo under contract by the Kokura Arsenal. Bore has strong grooves and is in surprisingly good condition. Rifle is missing the front sight blade, both barrel bands, lower trigger guard screw as well as the tang screw. The bolt is incomplete (missing the safety, recoil spring and firing pin) but the root and the extractor have matching serial numbers. The remaining piece of the "Last Ditch" 3-piece stock has been cut down and has several fine cracks that are noticeable. What appears to be an inspection stamp is present on the lower wrist. The stock could be repaired, as only a small portion of the front end was removed, or repurposed as "donor wood."

This Type 99 has potential and if you already had the right parts on-hand it would make for a quick restoration project.
